KYOHO PRINT
A MUSIC INSPIRED BOOK COVER PROJECT
Kyoho Print is a book cover project in which each book is inspired by a music video. Each title includes at least one full cover and one supplementary material such as a physical promotional item, social media marketing assets, mock pages from the hypothetical book, etc.
In order to make the project feel as fleshed out as possible, I created the Kyoho Print imprint to house these titles. This included creating a brand identity and brand kit as well as a Kyoho Print Twitter account.
There were a few books based on vocaloid songs that I had stumbled across that greatly inspired me and pushed me to make my own. Specifically, Goodbye Sengen by Iri Arata and Midori Mitsuki based on the song “Goodbye Declaration” by Chinozo (feat. Flower) and Venom: Kyuuaisei Shoujo Shoukougun by Shamoji, Kinosaki, Kairiki Bear, and Nou based on the song “Venom” by Kairiki Bear (feat. Flower) were my biggest inspirations.
